Bipartisan Views on Ending the Ukraine War

U.S. senators from both parties spoke with TV Abraham on Wednesday, days after President Trump toughened his stance on Russia. On Monday, the President threatened to impose secondary tariffs if Russia does not agree to a ceasefire with Ukraine within 50 days. A Senate bill imposing sanctions on Russia could be voted on before the August recess, though Senate Majority Leader John Thune (R–SD) signaled earlier this week that the bill is on hold following the President’s tariff announcement. The bill has over 80 co-sponsors.
